Missy
Jayme started her Mambo career as a student
of Frank “Ritmo”.
In less than a year, she quickly moved to an advanced student and
furthered her study of Latin dance with Addie Rodriguez "The Salsa Diva".
Missy
is no stranger to the stage. Her amateur and professional
experience stems from drama to musical theatre as well as Jazz dance.
She has studied with professionals such as actresses Aneatte Charles and Marilyn Sokol
and Jazz dance performer Edna Chew-Alston. Missy was also a member of
The Irondale Ensemble Project, a professional theatre company under the
direction of Jim Niesen. Her love affair with
dance and performance began in grade school when she was selected to be
part of N.D.I (National Dance Institute), a dance program for inner
city youths in New York City, directed
by acclaimed ballet dancer and award winner Jaques
D'Amboise. She participated in the program
for 3 years where she performed at Madison Square Garden and Lincoln Center's Alice
Tully Hall.
Missy
has performed in a variety of venues and events with Frank "Ritmo" and is formerly a member of the female
Mambo dance team “Dulce Bembe.”
Missy is currently the director of her all female dance team "Viva
La Diva.
Missy
is also the director of her young ladies’ group, The Dynamic Divas. She
currently teaches adult beginner level classes in Jersey
City at the Pershing Field Recreation Center. Check out
